What has "become" of us? This is some of what (at least a good chunk) of us have ALWAYS been.

You do understand that equal protection for marriage based on skin color/race/ethnicity was only granted in 1967 right? Wasn't fully protected in the US until 1971, just two years before I was born.


This is happening because we have never fully dealt with the idea of White Supremacy. We had a war because of slavery, but White Supremacy was still very much present in BOTH North and South. Remember that some of the worst race riots took place in Detroit Michigan (not the South), DC, and Los Angeles (not the South).

White Supremacy has been allowed to show itself freely in the US since the election of President Obama and more so since Trump's time in office. It is a strategy for one of the two major parties in the US right now.

If all of us on the other side of that issue do not speak up VERY LOUDLY, then this is going to continue. Right wingers will not be satisfied until they have all the power. They end up in power or in ruin, there is no "lessening" of racism and White Supremacy.
