Say a No Fly Zone were established

With the US and NATO enforcing it. On the first day there isn't a Russian aircraft to be seen but a dozen Ukrainian warplanes take off. After broadcasting warnings four turn around but the remaining eight continue on attack patterns towards Russian positions.

Now what? Do we shoot down the people we have been supporting?

It is really a step to insert ourselves into the war.

Since Russia is the enemy will we continue until they unconditionally surrender?

From Russian territory and shot down an American aircraft. Do we then kill Russians on Russian territory?

Just handle it like the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.

Pump in shit tons of anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons.

Make the Russians fear being in a tank or in the sky.

War is the total breakdown of rules, laws and order. Only after the war is settled will the rules be finalized; by the winner of course.

So far, our leadership's judgement is that there will be no enforcing of a no-fly zone. I trust them to be doing the right, or at least, the smart thing. They have answers that I don't even have questions for. We hired them, let the do their jobs.
