So Cruz, Hawley, Graham et al. can't abide considering an 18-year-old's age

in a court of law, balancing sentencing guidelines and other case circumstances, if it means imposing only a 3-month prison sentence, long probation, hard restrictions, a lifetime of stigma as a sex offender, etc.

Oh but when it comes to an 18-year-old committing criminal sexual assault - hey, boys will be boys, amirite?!? No need for any real investigation, here- c'mon!! So he likes beer, what's the big deal?? And look at that calm cool demeanor he had while those mean Democrats asked him how many times he'd passed out drunk, or what these weird "teen slang" terms meant (drinking games) and yearbook entries (drinking games) and weekend trips (drinking games) and nicknames for young women (uhhh, terms of endearment).

Hey, he was 18!

He wasn't on trial, of course. No. He was in Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's seat, as a nominee for a lifetime seat on the SCOTUS. And the Republicans are STILL hysterical about poooooor Brett, even now??!!??

"WE won't ask you if you like beer! Aren't we saints?" Maybe because doesn't have a history of passing out drunk.

"WE won't ask you about your teenage dating history." Maybe because sexual assault isn't "teenage dating."

"But we WILL ask you about CRT and Affirmative Action, just inexplicably? And also why you just don't care about pedophilia, child predators, sexual assault, and protecting vulnerable young people as much as WE sensitive souls do??"

(Pay no attention to Brett Kavanaugh or Clarence Thomas... or Jim Jordan or Matt Gaetz... or TFG or the loooong history of hypocritical Republican predators....)

Adultery at age 41 was a 'youthful indiscretion' to Henry Hyde.

Republicans called 22 y/0 Monica a child.

To Gaetz, his underage female companion was a young woman.
