CONFIRMED

Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation hearing is meant to assess her qualifications to be appointed a Supreme Court justice.

What is has instead confirmed is that Republicans are completely unqualified when it comes to acting civilly, morally, and ethically - and that by virtue of their behaviour, they should be disqualified from holding any office whatsoever.

Of course it comes as no surprise that the party that confirmed a man whose entire confirmation hearing was rife with temper-tantrums, anger-laden outbursts, and bizarre comments about "liking beer" - and yet was considered to be just the kind of even-tempered, sober-minded jurist who should sit on the highest court in the land.

Confirmed: Republicans are corrupt, morally bankrupt racists whose only chance of survival is ensuring that their corrupt, morally bankrupt, racist adherents can watch them belittle an "uppity black woman" when the opportunity presents itself.

Every Republican belongs to the Putin Party, its leader, confirmed by CPAC, is Putin puppet, Donald Trump.

Putin=Trump=GQP.

They want autocracy over democracy, it's the only way they can maintain minority rule.

When that smarmy little get was playing up his thing about access to documents and kept asking "is there anything else that Democrats have access to that Republicans dont" .. Common decency, honesty, intelligence, integrity, etc would have been my immediate and instinctual response. And however true that is, it probably wouldn't go over well. Definitely wouldn't help get KBJ over the finish line and onto the court.

in CRT are true. The behavior of these republican Senators towards Judge Jackson proved how Black people are to this day viewed through a lens of suspicion and racism. It was actually heartbreaking to watch the pathetic performance by Ted Cruz as he held up these children’s books and could not say the author’s name without a tone of scorn. And they ended the day with the ridiculous mush mouth Marsha Blackburn, a blatantly ignorant racist and bigot. Blackburn started her time with insincere phony compliments before launching into her ugly questioning of a woman superior to her in every way possible, including human decency.

The entire day was a sickening reminder of how many terrible people there are in this world.

They know, outside of a miracle, that she'll be confirmed. So this is just to show their "muscle" and also make noise for Fux and other right-wing outlets. What they don't seem to realize is that opposition doesn't have to mean being stupid. But, of course, their Big Kahuna is an Orange Idiot.
