Senator Tillis just directed his first question to "Judge Barrett."

Um - Senator, you’re at the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Do you even know what year this is?

Or are you not able to tell the difference between Justice Amy Coney Barrett and Judge Jackson? It’s really not all that easy to get the two mixed up.

It is a way of insulting, delegitimizing, and dehumanizing Jackson. Basically saying her name isn’t worth his time to get right.

I forget his claptrap after that. It was just so glaring that it immediately got my attention.

And for Pete’s sake, her FULL NAME is right there, on a placard on the table where she’s seated.

I am growing VERY weary of post titles that give no indication about the subject of the post, no indication that there's no text but merely a link to a video tweet, etc...

It only gets worse when you take the time to click on the post title and you STILL don't have any idea what the post is about.

And I'm beginning to think there should be a running thread for the SCOTUS nomination hearings. That way those that are following along can chime in when something comes up, and those of us who are not watching/sporadically watching/unable to watch.... don't have to navigate through 20 or 30 threads on the GD page, half of which say (to the effect), "THAT was stupid!" without saying what "THAT" refers to.
