Lindsey Graham tries to out-Trump Trump

Just caught a rerun of Graham abusing Judge Jackson.

This all goes back to TFG. For four years, Trump stood in front of a camera, took a huge dump on America, and millions of the mindless watched, loved it and cheered him on. So I guess Republicans now feel anything is allowable.

The reality is that they're damaging America beyond repair. And if by 2025 they seize the entire government, the America we've known will be a ghastly playground for these soulless barbarians.

turn on MSNBC and there it was. I'm sure the various MSNBC hosts will rerun it many times this evening.

He was rude, crude and socially unacceptable by anyone's definition. Yet, he got away with it for years and gained a following. TFG kicked it to a new high ... umm, low.

All the pieces are in place. This country will almost certainly be an authoritarian pseudo-democracy by 2030. There doesn’t seem to be anything that can be done about it. We can’t get voting rights passed, they own the courts, they own the statehouses, there’s no accountability for crimes against the country, the so-called liberal media pushes their agenda 24/7 and most importantly, willful ignorance is a virtue for millions of people while an equally as large portion actively want a “strongman” government.

We’re in deep, deep trouble. We need to win elections by such an overwhelming amount that it would be near impossible to steal. I don’t know that we can do that.

Obviously we have to fight the good fight and try like hell to avoid this but the deck is definitely stacked against us.

I really thought there would be a rebound after people saw what a disaster having an idiot, wanna-be dictator in power for a while was but the opposite has happened. The President has done a really good job so far but no one sees it. His approval is in the toilet and we’re about to get destroyed in November if things stay as they are.

We need something big to happen to turn things around. I just don’t know what or, more importantly, how.

I don’t think I’m out of line here. I’m just reading the room. Someone please tell me I’m reading it wrong.

I tend to agree that we're going to lose big time no matter what we do. ... And then, I look at Ukraine, fighting a "world power" to a draw, and in some places, actually beating them back. I'd suggest that we Democrats have to find the same grit as these incredible people and fight to win this year's elections, and those of 2024, like our lives depended on winning them. Because our lives do depend on beating back the goose-stepping thugs and rabble who claim to be a "legitimate" political party.
