In some way's Russia's count to zero is a continuation of the USSR's count to zero.
Russia inherited a lot of the Soviet baggage including much of the costly military, nuclear arsenals, etc. Ukraine, it seems to me, is more of a catalyst speeding up the inevitable. You can't have an economy the size of Italy and pretend to be a super-power for long.

In any event...

complete surrender of Ukraine (highly unlikely)
a negotiated settlement (also very unlikely)
or a defeat of the Russian Army / Navy (possible)
or some other outcome...

the Russian economy will be destroyed. And if India still wants all those sweet IT / call center jobs... they will side with the West... and China, if they want to keep manufacturing all of the crap that world wants... they will be neutral at best.

The rest of the world either sides with us or doesn't really matter.

So long as any member of the criminal cabal that supports Putin is in power, their economy (which was already puny) will be that of Burundi.

...a bunch of arrogant white guys talking about dominance, ego, and loss of face.

Look at the prick with his arms folded and the other grim looks of embarrassment, not for the war crimes being committed, but for the loss of imaginary power over others. It looks remarkably similar to the grim primate display by the CON senators of the judiciary committee today and yesterday.

Who cares how many innocents you kill to defeat some imaginary enemy, the important thing is the all important image of strength and resolve!

This is so unbelievably psychotic that it is almost unbearable to watch.

No wonder we have inherited this shitstorm we refer to as civilization. This is what you get when millennia of patriarchy meets weapons of mass destruction.

And the planet weeps...

the guy who started the Ukraine failure, Putin, the side eye?

Perhaps they already are by counting to zero.

What a debacle.

Putin has exposed himself as not the ultra-smart puppet master pulling trump's strings, but as an even more megalomaniacal, and existentially dangerous to humankind psychotic than the buffoon-like trump could ever even imagine.

I mean, good for NATO in that Russia will destroy its army, but bad for Ukraine and bad for any hope of a rational future.

It would be great to see where they were all at. from body language, it doesn't look like everyone is of that same position. I don't really know the context of this and who these people are.

Interesting clip! I'd like to find more of this.

To win a war he can’t afford to lose. The way these guys are talking will lead to extreme death and violence.

Russia should admit they are a regional power and can go back to bullying but not beating it’s neighbors. Russia survives that scenario. Confronting the west in any serious way will end in tremendous bloodshed and the same or worse outcome.

Most ordinary people would not want to live under Russian style government or Russian influence. That war is already lost. The US and Europe still offer something better despite their flaws.
