Marsha Blackburn attempted to own the libs on Twitter -- and it backfired spectacularly

By Bob Brigham
Published March 23, 2022

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has sought to make Republican efforts to overturn Roe v. Wade to ban abortion a centerpiece of the Republican argument against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Blackburn received her education in home economics from Mississippi State, but Republicans put her on the Senate Judiciary Committee despite her not having any experience as an attorney.

On Wednesday, she attempted to lecture about the Constitution not providing a right to abortion. It did not go well when her 15-word tweet mixed up American founding documents.

Hey Blackburn, what do you think of of this shit, not one , but three of your member's sitting on this committee thought that the 2020 election should have been thrown out....I think they should be expelled.......they didn't and still don't give a shit about the Constitution but like being card carrying members of the federalist society, j......

at this comment:

It also exhorts us to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no one has gone before.

Here’s Marsha’s comment, for those who don’t want to click over to Raw Story:

"The Constitution grants us rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – not abortions," she argued.

Unfortunately that's what most of her constituents are - Christo-fascists.

The list of truly ignorant republican women who get elected to high office is long. Marsha Blackburn, Joni Ernst, Marjorie Taylor Green, Lauren Boebert, Kim Reynolds, and Kristi Noem are just some of the better known Einsteins.

The one thing all of them have in common is misplaced confidence. They actually think they’re smart. It is rather stunning when you think about it. They lack all humility or doubt. They burst with self-confidence while saying the most inane things. I don’t get where that comes from.

Life: if woman is facing an ectopic pregnancy.

Liberty: when men ( and some women) who know nothing about a woman's reproductive system and insist that a woman can shut down a pregnancy or can conceive only when she enjoys it or that birth control is a monthly abortion.

Happiness: the ability to provide adequately and safely for future children or the children she already has.

They are in the preamble to the Declaration of Independence, which is a very cool letter sent to the King of England, but has absolutely ZERO legal value and does not protect any rights.

Blackburn is an idiot and should not be in any position of power. The most power she should have in life is the power to say, "Welcome to Walmart, enjoy your shopping experience".

Your response was a good examination of how Blackburn was even wrong on the substance. My point was that she doesn't even deserve that thoughtful a response since she was wrong on the premise.

She is either really ignorant, really stupid, or most likely BOTH.
