If an abortion keeps someone alive, free, or happy, then they're entitled to get one. Marsha is too intellectually vacuous to grasp that concept.

(11,728 posts)The problem is that the document Blackburn is referring to is not the Constitution.
The Declaration of Independence is a great historical document and highlights the grievances with the Crown, and why The United States was severing ties with England.
What it did NOT do, was make any kind of legal pronouncement which set up any kind of rules for how the US would be governed.
It is basically a very fancy "Dear John" letter.
The whole point is that Blackburn is too ignorant and stupid to be trusted with any kind of decision making power.

(10,132 posts)a Home Economics degree can cover a wide range of subjects, including psychology, child development, nutrition, economics, and other areas. A person with a working brain and a Home Ec degree could bring a lot to Congress.
Marsha, though, would be a clueless dolt even if her degree were in nuclear physics.

The founders couldn't cover every contingency the future might see.
Remember women didn't have voting right until Aug. 26, 1920, went the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution officially took effect.

With this brief explanation, I will leave it there. Except to say TFG expected other to always be subservient to him and him alone.

(21,420 posts)that biology defines gender identity. Please bear with me because I am trying to understand what people (leaving out dogs) the term bitch applies to.
Are you saying then, that it applies to a woman or man who steps outside of socially (rather than biologically) determined sex roles?

It's time for me to hit the hay. I have a "SOBing" blood test at 8:15 in the morning. My wife tolerates that rather than a fu*king blood test.

(21,420 posts)that the term bitch applies to men or women who step outside socially defined roles because that's how it is used for putting down women who dare to run for president, or to accept an appointment to the Supreme Court. In that context it is misogynistic.
By the social role criteria, girls in Afghanistan who go to school would be bitches, but in the US, that would be applied to education for girls only in some backward RW social circles.

(6,178 posts)And my FINAL WORD on this is:
Ketanji Brown Jackson is the best-qualified nominee to ever be considered to hold a SCOTUS seat.
If I had a vote I would vote for her in a heartbeat.
And if the future finds Vice President Kamala Harris on a ticket running for POTUS I would vote for her again.
For the three women mentioned in the original post Blackburn, MTG, and Lauren Boebert their behavior disqualifies them for continuing holding the honored seat of an elected member of Congress. They are all despicable.

(21,420 posts)the stupid demand for those records for the very reason that they never should have requested to see them - serious privacy concerns for the victims. Completely demolished the fake concern for victims that the Republican Inquisition claimed as their motive for wanting to see them.
