Just saw an interview with Fauci

A one on one with the Economist Newspaper.

He is still amazed that a public health issue was turned into a political football.
Even having Senators saying the vaccines caused as many deaths as the disease. really?
He is worried about China. Because of the no case strategy and the lack of efficacy o f their
anti covid inoculations. They have a large population who are largely naive to the virus. He thinks this will be problematical for them.
He is concerned about the funding that is on hold in the US for future work.
This will leave us vulnerable to the next one, and there will be a next one.
He feels a bit more optimistic now than he did a year or so ago.
However, he has great concerns for the portion of the population that is
immunocompromised, or has other pre-existing conditions. they still are facing the same risks
as they did back at the start. they need to get shots, boosters, anti-viral medications have to be available.

It is noce to hear people talk and make sense and not have a political axe to grind.
