to have lots of advance voting to start with.

I live in New Mexico. We have wonderful advance voting. Oh, and whether in advance or on election day itself you don't have to figure out exactly what precinct you need to go to, because any and all voting places in your county will accept you. Your ballot is printed up on the spot, you vote, it's run through a verification machine, and you are on your way.

It should be like this in every state.
