So, she might just vote with the Democrats this time.

My hope is that we can pull a repug or two just in case we need to counter the two misfits on our side. I heard Tillis might be willing

One Republican vote nullifies a Sinema vote for rejection. Worse for her, it makes her irrelevant, which someone in her position just cannot afford to be. Now that Manchin has said he will vote to confirm, she saws off a leg of the chair she is sitting on if she votes no, and it's a wobbly chair to begin with.

I didn't know about Manchin but that's good news. I got used to putting so little faith in him and Sinema and their no votes.

He knows Jackson will be confirmed, so he gives Sinema a pass to confirm here, and reserves his sway on votes where her vote would be enough to make or break for Biden. This isn't one of them.

She will become the next Supreme Court Justice.

Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia said Friday that he intends to vote yes on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court, effectively guaranteeing she will be confirmed and become the first Black woman to serve on the nation's highest court.

Neither one of them gets anything but negative blowback from a "no" vote, and as un-left as they are, neither one wants to be lumped into the same toxic soup with Cruz, Hawley, Graham, Blackburn, Cornyn or Cotton.
