CNN: Manchin says he will vote for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin announced on Friday that he plans to vote for President Joe Biden's Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson, a move that all but guarantees she will be confirmed.

wouldn’t do so for the well qualified Judge Jackson

I actually except a couple of republicans to also vote for her confirmation

Still it is good to hear him say so

And then when is the retiring Justice actually leaving?

If the vote doesn't take place soon, you might as well appoint Manchin/Sinema as majority leader, because they can both leverage their vote to get anything they want.

is leaning to vote for Jackson. As someone else mentioned, there probably will be at least a few more Republicans.
