Tubin said that while lower court judges are bound by rules of ethics, the Supreme Court exempted themselves. Thomas has never recused himself. He did mention the cases about Trump papers.

(82,849 posts)The Supremes voted 8-1 to allow the January 6 committee access to the evidence, including the lately-disclosed correspondence between Mark Meadows and Virginia "Ginni" Thomas. The lone vote against the committee was cast by none other than Justice Clarence "I'd better not put my usual nickname for him here" Thomas. That should receive prominent play during any discussion of this matter, if you ask me.
