ABA Committee member says they were surprised to find zero criticisms of #KBJ "It is surprising that unanimously the bar appreciates judge Jackson and sees that she has high competency, integrity, and temperament." pic.twitter.com/QtZ222UtQG[snip]

The behavior of some of the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee was disgraceful, and it is even more contemptible that they lacked the decency to show up and hear the experts deliver the facts to counter the three days of lies that they previously put on display.
_____
Interesting how quickly the Klan disappeared once the American Bar Association showed up with lawyers and facts.

(1,523 posts). . . In November, Virginia elected Republican Gov, LtGov, and Attorney General. The new AG, Jason Miyares, is a rookie who was elected because of lies about "critical race teory," Democrats being soft on crime, and other bullshit.
And now comes this -- read the full article on BlueVirginia:

Attorney General Miyares Gives Plea Deal to Predator Who Solicited A Minor
Richmond, VA In case you missed it, a recent report by NBC 4 found that Attorney General Miyares, the self-proclaimed tough on crime Attorney General, offered a plea deal to former Loudoun County Sheriffs Deputy Dustin Amos. Amos was recently arrested and charged for two felonies for soliciting a minor online.
The report states:
Former Loudoun County Sheriffs Deputy Dustin Amos was recently arrested and charged for two felonies for soliciting a minor online. Virginia State Police say Amos repeatedly messaged who he thought was a 15-year-old girl but was actually a police officer and expressed his sexual desire for her.
Miyares office offered Amos a deal where he only pleaded guilty to one of the two felonies.
You have to make individual decisions based on the evidence you have, Miyares said. Thats very, very different than set policies where you have a memorandum thats circulated to every prosecutor in your office thats saying, where possible, dont follow mandatory minimums.

(25,962 posts)As a Sheriffs Deputy, he absolutely should be held accountable for any and all charges, but instead gets a plea deal. The hypocrisy appears at all levels in our judicial system.
