Cruz, Hawley, Graham, And Cotton Don't Show Up For ABA Debunking Their Smears Of Judge Jackson

https://www.politicususa.com/2022/03/24/cruz-hawley-graham-and-cotton-dont-show-up-for-aba-debunking-their-smears-on-judge-jackson.html

Sens. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Lindsey Graham, and Tom Cotton smeared Judge Jackson and didn’t even bother to show up to the ABA testimony debunking their lies. [snip]

The ABA Executive Board testified that they were surprised to find that there were no complaints from liberals, conservatives, prosecutors, or defense lawyers from Judge Jackson:

ABA Committee member says they were surprised to find zero criticisms of #KBJ "It is surprising that unanimously the bar appreciates judge Jackson and sees that she has high competency, integrity, and temperament." pic.twitter.com/QtZ222UtQG

The behavior of some of the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee was disgraceful, and it is even more contemptible that they lacked the decency to show up and hear the experts deliver the facts to counter the three days of lies that they previously put on display.

_____

Interesting how quickly the Klan disappeared once the American Bar Association showed up with lawyers and facts.

. . . In November, Virginia elected Republican Gov, LtGov, and Attorney General. The new AG, Jason Miyares, is a rookie who was elected because of lies about "critical race teory," Democrats being soft on crime, and other bullshit.

And now comes this -- read the full article on BlueVirginia:

Attorney General Miyares Gives Plea Deal to Predator Who Solicited A Minor
Richmond, VA – In case you missed it, a recent report by NBC 4 found that Attorney General Miyares, the self-proclaimed tough on crime Attorney General, offered a plea deal to former Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Amos. Amos was recently arrested and charged for two felonies for soliciting a minor online.

The report states:

Former Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputy Dustin Amos was recently arrested and charged for two felonies for soliciting a minor online. Virginia State Police say Amos “repeatedly messaged” who he thought was a 15-year-old girl but was actually a police officer and “expressed his sexual desire for her.”

Miyares’ office offered Amos a deal where he only pleaded guilty to one of the two felonies.

“You have to make individual decisions based on the evidence you have,” Miyares said. “That’s very, very different than set policies where you have a memorandum that’s circulated to every prosecutor in your office that’s saying, where possible, don’t follow mandatory minimums.”

As a Sheriff’s Deputy, he absolutely should be held accountable for any and all charges, but instead gets a plea deal. The hypocrisy appears at all levels in our judicial system.
