That’s casting a pall over a country that was once a darling of emerging-market investors and now looks set to lose 15 years of economic gains by the end of 2023.”

we have Republicans threatening every couple of months to block legislation that keeps our debt payments up. Thus they would cause a HUGE self-inflicted wound on the country that would affect everybody adversely.

Do these idiots even have a clue what they are threatening to do?
