We keep asking ourselves! The GOPers just find a way to louse things up when they commit a crime!
Trump committing so many is plain sight!
Rudy G. and others telling their crimes in public!
Matt Gaetz, well, he is sick!
Stone is a criminal in every way!
Then, we have Clarence Thomas wife trying help over throw the government with texts between herself and Meadows!
But justice served somewhat? Congressman Jeff Fortenberry R-Neb was convicted for illegal contributions and lying twice to the FBI. He is my district congressman. Im just afraid that Governor Ricketts will appoint himself to fill the vacancy when Fortenberry is forced to step down. That an injustice itself! Ricketts is an awful person and would Cruz look like Mother Theresa!
So, we keep pondering the question how stupid are they or what else could they do?

(18,547 posts)Not one of them has as yet suffered any consequences so why is it stupid?
Crimes will continue to be committed in the open by Republican officials as long as there are no consequences for them and I see no evidence that this will change.
In fact just the opposite. Trump is skating free from his NY crimes so Republican immunity from consequences is alive and well.
The only person who's been imprisoned has been Michael Cohen and he's a Democrat. He was jailed for carrying out Trump's orders for the sole personal benefit of Trump while Trump gets off scott free.

Them or people like Merrick Garland and Alvin Bragg who allow them to skate by on their crimes.
Perhaps it is us who voted for those milqutoasts.
