(58,785 posts)Of course? That's a given.
The point is, choose among the many wise and thoughtful commentators who never made themselves available for the Kremlin to launder its subversive, anti-Democratic propaganda into "credible" left wing discussion. Those who did all knew what they were being used for.

(146,116 posts)He didn't have to make that association. For me, it taints his reporting and commentary permanently. He made his choice, which is his prerogative. I have made mine, as well.
So, sorry, but I'm not interested in anything he has to say any longer, and have not been since that association.

(146,116 posts)It was one that Hartmann chose, knowing that RT was heavily slanted to put Putin's Russia and its ideology in a positive light. He knowingly associated himself with that Russian news organization.
So, he made the choice. It was his conscious decision to do so. No logical fallacy on my part at all. I would feel the same if Hartman had associated himself with Fox News. You choose your own associations in the media business.

(10,830 posts)Wouldn't that exclude mostly older voters? In other words, voters who tend to vote Republican?
If younger voters turn out, it might actually benefit Democrats.

(2,905 posts)The RT decision has been addressed many times here and directly by Hartmann. Hartmanns integrity is above reproach. He produces a progressive treasure trove of information.

(146,116 posts)What I said earlier in this thread is exactly what I meant. I stopped listening to and reading Hartmann when he signed up with RT. That's my choice, isn't it? I don't care if you pay attention to him. But, there are better sources out there. Truly. I suggest you look into that, and stop worrying about people who don't think Hartmann is "all that."
