Clarence Thomas either needs to resign or be investigated for impeachment purposes.

As an attorney for almost 32 years I have to say he must resign. Robert’s needs to push him there. Recusal is not acceptable and here is why. He was the lone vote against releasing Trumps records, though the law was very clear. Even Alito did not go there and that says a lot. Thomas is now tainted by proving he is willing to rule for personal reasons. Having him on the bench to rule on other cases when he has demonstrated a willingness to use his vote to benefit himself is not acceptable! This is the highest court in the land, the third branch of government, so there can be no doubt about the justices impartiality.

If he doesn’t immediately resign there should be a special investigation into all of this. Should evidence be found that he knew of his wife’s texts to Meadows (and others I would bet), and her involvement, he should be impeached. He knew because his wife was open about her work. He should not be allowed to remain on the court!

highest court official, to uphold the law (except his laws count more than others). Such a self-serving justice has no right, no place in our current Supreme Court. No wonder Americans are losing faith in the Supreme Court.

My guess is because of the pressure those campaigns will create, it's plausible that in early summer a targeted public opinion campaign could itself remove him from the bench, giving him the "I'm retiring to spend more time with my beloved idiot family" routine before any real investigations (if any) take place.

If he digs in and stays, he giving a loaded weapon to every Democrat running for office in the autumn.

Scalia, etc… we’ve seen flagrant conflicts of interest before, with no apparent public recourse. And no appetite by those with the reigns to reign themselves in. Unless by some miracle he’s disbarred…? It is outrageous that Congress and the S Ct aren’t bound by even stricter ethical standards, and here they are with more lax standards being the situation. Speaker Pelosi was looking at this recently, whatever happened with that?
