On Thursday, the Russians declared almost a dozen diplomats at the U.S. Embassy as “persona non grata,” paving the way for their expulsion. Staffing at the embassy is already thin, and U.S. officials have said further reductions will make it difficult if not impossible to keep it operating ...

Biden also rebuked Putin for his claim the the invasion sought to “de-Nazify” Ukraine. The president of Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelensky, is Jewish and his father’s family died in the Holocaust ...

7. In Ukraine, the White House clarified.

Biden was not threatening the invasion and overthrow of Putin by the USA or NATO, but that’s how the Kremlin and Republicans framed it in launching immediate criticism of the remark.
