Ukrainian invasion takes bad turn -- for Russia

One month in, Russia's invasion of Ukraine isn't going how Moscow planned. The war has come with a terrible human cost, killing thousands on both sides, including civilians, while turning millions into refugees and cities into bombed-out shells of their former selves.

The biggest uncertainty remains how the war will end, and what Russian President Vladimir Putin needs to walk away from a disastrous military confrontation that has strangled his country's economy while dealing a serious blow to the prestige of Russia's military. “Four weeks into this war it's very evident it's not going as Russia intended, planned, and expected,” said Steven Horrell with the Center for European Policy Analysis.

NATO on Wednesday estimated that roughly 7,000 to 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed
and up to 40,000 Russian soldiers were dead, wounded, taken prisoner or missing
since the country’s attack on Ukraine began four weeks ago.

“What it takes is for him to realize that it’s going badly for him on the battlefield … For him to realize that his economy is being devastated. That the unity of the international community in imposing costs on him for this unprovoked war is more than he can handle,” Taylor said. “He needs to recognize that these 16,000 Russian soldiers who have died already are going back to be buried in Russian cities and towns and villages.

“What has to happen is he has to figure out that he's losing.”

40,000 dead, wounded, captured or missing. That equates to 21% of the estimated 190,000 troops Pooty positioned at the border of Ukraine pre-invasion II. This means that in 4 more months, Pooty will have no more of the original 190,000 troops left. Talk about stepping in it, Pooty's buried in it!!

Bodies are stacking up.

“What has to happen is he has to figure out that he's losing.” People like Putin, or trump, never admit to losing. Can't even conceive of it.

That when they suffered a loss of 40,000 and if a body was shipped home, they had funerals in the middle of the night so the public didn’t know about the huge # of deaths.

7. It's sinking in very slowly as cell phone calls go unanswered

Some have been silent for almost a month, now. Families know their kids in the army haven't been that busy for a solid month, they could've checked in late at night. There are a lot of wives, girlfriends and especially Mums out there who are getting less frantic and more angry by the day as they get told their guys are just too busy to answer a text.

The awful truth is going to dawn on most people as the number of conscripts starts to skyrocket and more cell phones go silent.

Remember when Afghanistan was a shiny new war? It seems soldiers were being targeted via their Fit Bits. However, even those were only a problem when they were on and a soldier was away from the base.

I see those phones as a bigger security issue for their command structure.

6. Perhaps An Unexplained Demolition Of His Palace On The Black Sea?
Sun Mar 27, 2022, 01:17 AM

He has a 190,000 sq. ft. palace on the Black Sea where he hides out from the every day Russians...I mean...COVID. If it were to be leveled suddenly by a large, unexplained explosion?

Putin: I know you blew up my palace!
Biden: Wasn't us, Poots. We saw the explosion on satellite, but don't know anything more than that. We figured maybe your gas line was leaking or something. Sorry you lost your mega-huge, mega-expensive hideaway! By the way, did you know that not even the richest man on the planet, owns a home that big? How come you manage to own one that big? Oh, well. Good luck finding the money to rebuild it, what with all the sanctions against you, your buddies and Russia and all. That's gonna be fuckin' rough...(hangs the fuck up on his ass)

It's been overtaken by mold throughout the inside of the place to the extent that it's been through comprehensive mold/fungus remediation twice. If that sounds disgusting, it is.

A home that has been invaded by mold isn't just an inconvenience but can precipitate a wide range of adverse physical conditions. The molds manufacture volatile organic compounds or VOC's, the byproduct of their metabolic actions, which are the actual culprits responsible for a wide range of illnesses from the inconvenient to the fatal.

Remediation of such places is never one hundred percent effective. Once a building has been invaded by mold there's really no effective comprehensive solution for its removal except complete demolition of the structure.

It's a game of wack-a-mole except with microbes. Regular cleaning is a woefully inadequate solution for this problem. Once there's been an invasion by microbes there's not really much one can do to win the battle against them.

Here are a few examples.

Aspergillus fumigatus

In people who are already ill, the mortality rate of invasive aspergillosis hovers near 100 percent.*

Candida auris

This fungus lingers on inanimate surfaces for long periods and can withstand whatever you try to use against it.. **

Black mold, or Stachybotrys chartarum

This is one of the types of mold that grows in a building after water intrusion.***

Fungal diseases worldwide account for ~ 1.6 million deaths every year—more than malaria.

They can be difficult to treat even in normal immune systems. Even worse for those who are immunocompromised like our heat/lung transplant patients (who were the ones that typically got infected). And the drugs used to treat them are harsh on your system.
