(30,703 posts)After we suffered through the Putin installed regime in the White House for four years. And he tried to get the asshole back in the Oval Office. So Putin the only one allowed to interfere with other heads of state?

(13,303 posts)Seems as though many of the networks felt the same including npr. Lordy, we all want putin gone and Biden was brave enough to say it out loud.

(17,778 posts)Biden never said or meant that type of regime change. To conflate the two is beyond dumb. Leadership change and broad sensed regime change are completely different animals. I'm sure many across the planet were thinking and saying the same thing about America from 2017 through Jan 6 2020 when we finally did exactly that. Trump couldn't remain in power. No one was calling for the fall of the American government....well outside of Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang. Ugh.

(12,538 posts)Attention is the oxygen that feeds his flame. Stop covering every utterance as if his verbal vomit was as consequential as a two-year-old's temper tantrum.
And for god's sake, always refer to him as "the twice-impeached former resident of the White House, who failed to get reelected by seven million votes."

(9,878 posts)He has clearly stated his goal of rebuilding a Russian Empire with form Soviet territories. He refuses to recognize that those territories are now sovereign countries who refuse to be a part of his grand scheme to make himself Czar of Russia. Getting to a ceasefire agreement with Putin is important, though I believe that negotiations will ultimately fail because Putin is unreliable and will not live up to any promises made. He may keep promises for a bit but only to give himself time to rebuild the army and replace his munitions, which is another reason sanctions must be extended so that his war factories cannot get parts. If sanctions destroy the Russian economy, so be it. Much more is being destroyed in Ukraine.
