I never expected him to do something so ... wait, what? It was Putin that hired mercenaries to take out the leader of a foreign country? Biden just said a couple of words that didn't even imply that the U.S. was going to remove Putin from power?

Those of us from the East coast were quite startled.
That said, the US does not take out foreign leaders, just their generals, and since Afghanistan, others are doing that for us.
