reminds me of the famous, iconic painting by Norman Rockwell about the little Black girl being accompanied to school by Federal Marshals. I remember that painting so well. Rockwell set up a walk way with little blocks where the girl's footfalls would be so that he could capture her gait amongst the much taller men. He took dozens of photos of the girl and the men to get it just right. He was a perfectionist.
Rockwell was an amazing artist, but that one painting of that child being walked to school by U S Marshals has always been my favorite.
