Russia's invasion of Ukraine is changing the world as we know it, sending Finnish foreign policy into flux. For the first time ever, an Yle poll shows majority support for a Finnish Nato application.
"I think the fact that the war started in Ukraine, or that Russians escalated the war in Ukraine, was a dramatic shock for ordinary Finns," Matti Pesu, a security and defense expert at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA), told APN.
He also said Russia's aggression suggests Finland has been right to continue investing in its defence capabilities.
