Speaking with The National Desk in an exclusive interview, Armstrong Williams says Justice Thomas "has no perspective" on the messages between his wife and Meadows.

Williams says Justice Thomas is his mentor and friend, and that he is a former confidential assistant of the Supreme Court justice.

I think you may find this surprising that he was just as shocked as anyone else," Williams says. "Mrs. Thomas is a lawyer, she's an activist... and yet they're married, she's very independent, and she shields her husband from what she does.
Williams says while Mrs. Thomas is "an activist pushing her perspective," Justice Thomas, just like his practice of not reading newspapers or watching the news, is "very isolated" from what his wife does.

I know people find that hard to believe because they're man and wife, but there are so many marriages that exist that sometimes people wake up in the morning and realize 'I had no idea that you're involved in...' and that's just the way it works," Williams explains.
Williams says there's no connection between what Justice Thomas does and what his wife does.

You may want to make that connection, but it's not there, it will never be there.... because, you can tell consciously in her activism, there's a certain part where you realize that she understood this could be controversial," Williams says in the interview. "She protects him, she keeps him in the dark, and she does it very well.
Williams says he is certain if Mrs. Thomas ever has to address any issues with the messages, she will say her husband has no idea what she does.

That's just the way that marriage works. It's just there's nothing there. But the fact is... yes... You cannot just dispute the fact that texts were sent, you cannot refute the fact that she marched on January 6, but it has no connection to Justice Thomas, none," Williams insists.
