"Dignity always prevails" --Lesson for Will Smith

Scene from Green Book. Awarded Best Picture 2019.

I was watching the Oscars last night and saw the Chris Rock/Will Smith interaction. It was very disheartening to see Smith react so badly to Rock's joke, which was in such poor taste.

I love movies. I love movies which have scenes you can replay over and over and over and enjoy them each time. That scene last night is one Smith will replay in his head for a long time--maybe forever--wishing it could be rewritten. What a tragic moment.

I didn't see last night's Oscar, and I haven't seen the movie you posted the clip from either. CaliforniaPeggy Mar 2022 #1

But I agree with your post about loving the movies and how we replay the scenes we love over and over.

I hope Will Smith and Chris Rock will both learn something from last night's incident.

Based on a true story. It not only won Best Picture in 2019 but also Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali. Numerous memorable scenes in it. Set in 1962.
