Self-delete hides what you said and the thread becomes inactive.
Hiding it does exactly that for the hider (in this case, me). But it still allows the hider to own what he said for those who wish to flog said thread.
Along with my own thread, I hid every other one directly or peripherally on the same topic. That topic, in the larger world, should have been meaningless. Instead it exploded. I am embarrassed that I contributed to that explosion in some small way.
I feel better now.

Does this remove thread? Is trashing the same as hiding?
Now at least I see what I've done and tap to restore.
Was a bit slow on the uptake when I first opened account in the fall...
