Why DOJ? Why?

Trump is a corrupt politician, a criminal businessman and a danger to our democratic system. I think it's outrageous that he keeps escaping serious consequences for any of that. But I'm afraid that even after all we witnessed and continue to learn about Trump's assault on our democracy and the threat he poses, there still isn't the will to stop him. It's clear that a report from the January 6th Committee or a civil case that costs him some money and some time isn't going to get the job done. Let's hope somebody, somewhere has the guts to hold him legally accountable.

All of our grand hope resting on the NY case and it just goes up in a puff of smoke. There is no evidence that the current circus will end any differently. It is all a stall until the next elections the results of which may make all of the Republican's legal problems just disappear. History is on the side of the naysayers here. As much as I would love to be dead wrong, I just don't subscribe to faith-based politics or justice.

Described was almost surely not a tactic used on State alone.

I’m very sorry to say the arsonist in chief for 2106-2020 appeared intent on hollowing all our institutions.

Of course I am unburdened by any actual knowledge about the Justice department so hope to hear from those who know directly.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that the Jan. 6th committee will follow suit and that horrible day will just be another day on the calendar when it comes to history lessons.

Perhaps it is time for a monumental flood of emails/letters/phone calls to all agencies involved so they can't get off so easily...it's too difficult and they probably can't prove anything because some people refused to flip. Who got to James? I really counted on her.

What a lesson for our kids and young people. How old do you have to be to get preferential treatment when it comes to crime and incarceration? How big does that white collar have to be to make a difference? Good Lord, Cohen went to prison for writing checks to a prostitute for Trump and lying about it. They can't prove anything on that Orange Lump after all he's done? His kids? Aren't they presently in depositions?

I see a hornet's nest being knocked around and can hear the anger about to erupt.
