that speaks to the legitimacy of a countrys leader?
My question now about Bidens unscripted nine word assertion that no doubt caused a run on the market for smelling salts, is what did the President know and when did he know it?

(14,708 posts)It is being attributed factions inside Russia, not Ukraine.
Their Reich wing poisoned their own negotiators.

(86,533 posts)I saw it as an enhancement to Zelenskyy's resolve and strength. I do know that the russians are not acting in good faith in the negotiations so I think that find new ways to meet one's demands is necessary. It's not like most of the world doesn't agree, the quiet part not to spoken aloud, but it came out and perhaps for a good reason we might recognize at a later date.
I do see it as much ado about not much.
ETA: I had not scrolled down far enough to see the post about the envoys being poisoned!!
To that I say, I need to find out more about this. Hadn't seen that info before.

However, he also added wryly: "I advise anyone going for negotiations with Russia not to eat or drink anything, (and) preferably avoid touching surfaces".
