In listening to discussions on sanctions on Russia, I'm wondering:
Do we still have sanctions on these countries? Any more?
What are our goals for these?
Especially Cuba. It doesn't seem like a threat.

(16,903 posts)We were actually there to see the country, and enjoy everything, but we had to say it was a humanitarian visit in order to get entry. Everyone brought stuff (bandages, all sorts of stuff) to give to those who came to inspect us...
It is an AMAZING country, clean, beautiful, and the people so friendly... I felt bad when we left, leaving them behind .........
The one thing that we noticed is that we WERE ALWAYS FOLLOWED.... it was a weird feeling.

(51,448 posts)we were not followed. In fact, we were serenaded with American rock 'n roll music by the Cuban army.
I agree: beautiful country and warm, enterprising people.
