Missouri participant in Capitol riot charged in fatal crash - DWI felony charges

Emily Hernandez, 22, of Sullivan, Missouri, is charged with driving while intoxicated involving the death of another and DWI involving serious physical injuries. She was charged Thursday. Her attorney, Ethan Corlija, said Monday that he will seek a reduction of Hernandez's $250,000 bond. She has not yet entered a plea.

The accident happened in January on the eve of the first anniversary of the insurrection. Hernandez is accused of going the wrong way in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44. Her Volkswagen Passat struck a 2019 Buick Enclave. Victoria Wilson, 32, of St. Clair, Missouri, died and Wilson's husband was injured.

What in the actual FUCK was someone 21 years old doing at the Capitol Riots inthe first place? Seeking inspiration from Donald Trump? Educating themself on the Constitution? Or attending what they saw as an extended frat-house rager?

The fact that this child has now killed another person is tragic. The fact that she allowed her miond to be twisted and warped by the likes of Trump and his MAGAt crowd is a second tragedy.

Breaks my heart to see kids younger than my own getting caught up in this mayhem and anarchy and then to see them also involved in the senseless killing of another person. I want to vomit.
