in this country - whether it is the Fitzmas debacle - the Scooter Libby mess, the travesty around the Mueller report and the TFG theft of the election from Hillary, and now the apparent paralysis of Garland in terms of doing anything about Jan 6 - there are a few things that come to mind. Big Money and Big Power behind the scenes rule to keep the power where they want it. (can you say MIC?) Our side - Democrats - are great at ideas, intellect, empathy, the big tent - but we don't seem to like to do battle for what we want in the same way that repubs, and their cult forming blood sport approach accomplish. But....the football can only get pulled away so many times when it starts to erode the constitution - makes a mockery of it, really - and, as a few posts tonight have stated, our democracy is likely on life support, if not already dead.
