'Significant' evidence suggests Trump Org misstated asset values for more than a decade, NY AG says

‘Significant’ evidence suggests Trump Organization misstated asset values for more than a decade, NY AG says

KEY POINTS
The New York Attorney General Office’s probe of the Trump Organization “uncovered significant evidence” suggesting that the company’s financial statements for more than a decade relied on misleading valuations of its real estate assets, the office said

Those potentially inaccurate valuations were used “to secure economic benefits — including loans, insurance coverage, and tax deductions — on terms more favorable than the true facts warranted,” the office said in a court filing.

The filing was made in response to the Trump Organization and former President Donald Trump’s appeal of a judge’s order that Trump and two of his adult children, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump, had to submit to interviews under oath by investigators from James’ office.

they had the goods on trump fraudulently raising and lowering asset valuations to borrow more from banks with higher valuations, then pay lower taxes by lowering valuations in tax filings.

The AG found much fraudulent activites with the family using his charities for slush funds and such. I think she stayed out of the way on th criminal side for the Manhattan DA Vance but he kept drawing it out for years until the two top prosecutors got the real, clear evidence on trump. Then Vance decided not to run for re-election (I think he had taken campaign funds from trump and had no real appetite to go after him.

Not running was his way of getting out of it and then Bragg punts too. Maybe there was an agreement with Vance, or who knows. Follow the money I say.

My guess is that James could indict on that, but knows it is likely to end in trump walking. Alvin Braggs, apparently feels the same.

Manhattan crimes so the AG left it to the Manhattan DA's office. From your writings you seem to think they didn't have a good case despite what the lead prosecutors contended. They came out and said openly that trump is guilty of felonies and they were ready to indict.

They probably know a lot more than you do on the case.
