Putin is starting to back down, Thank you president Biden, great job.

The president of Ukraine, people of Ukraine, have shown great courage, it brings tears to my eyes. However, Biden deserves a lot of credit for quickly uniting the world against Putin. Supplying the weapons that helped the Ukrainians fight. Putting in place sanctions that hurt Russia badly.

We don't know how this is going to end yet. One thing is for sure, Putin is not going to take over all of Ukraine and Biden is a big reason why.

If Putin retreats, accepts a face-saving settlement he is inwardly furious with, look for Invasion 2.0 right around this time next year.

But I don't expect attacks on Kharkiv or Mariupol to relent any time soon, unfortunately.

And Kyiv could still be subjected to air strikes. I mean, Lviv has been subjected to air strikes and it's over 300 miles from the nearest Russian infantry soldier.

That being said, I'm glad the Ukrainians have appeared to repelled a full-fledged ground assault on Kyiv, which is just an absolutely stunning city.

And a continued thanks to our President as well.

Oh well, maybe it's time to bash our Dem governor or our two Dem senators or our Dem House member...Dems, Dems, Dems as far as the eye can see here in Jolly New Haven...

They will end up on every news show talking how Putin is backing down. Putin does not want to be seen as backing down. He wants to be seen as the winner. If he thinks the world is looking at him as backing down he will invade more countries.

Without a definitive course of action by the US, the EU and other allies would need to reach a concensus or each choose to act independently. Instead, Biden was right there with a ready-to-go plan that was easy to get behind. Putin did not expect an administration that was able to operate without the protagonists and bad actors being informed of the new game plan.
