One more thing to ponder - Russia invades Ukraine, starts a campaign of death and destruction...

...and concessions are being discussed? They attacked a free nation! This is insane. I realize things have to be done to stop the killing of Ukrainian people - but it just blows my mind that the Ukrainians should have to give a single inch to that monstrous authoritarian asshole.

Going back to the Vikings, that is the plan.

You would think in the 21st century this plan would not work anymore.

to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty. If this shows anything it’s that Russian promises are worthless. There is nothing Putin could promise to Ukraine that you can believe.

Until Russia delivers Putin’s head on a platter. Then we can talk about the return of captured land to Ukraine. Then we can talk about their restitution for damages to Ukraine. Then we can talk about sanctions.

What I see happening right after Russia finally pulls out of UKR, NATO hurries up and makes UKR a full member.
And then warns Putler not to do anything stupid. He breaks treaties & agreements all the time, turn around
is fair play, fuck his feelings.

We'll quit bombing you indiscriminately if you give us this, that and those. Fuck Putin and fuck those Russian asshats that believe everything he says. They're just like the brain-dead republican MAGAts here. Totally psychotic and untrustworthy.

Part of the reason for this is that the Russian invasion of Donbas has been bogged down in the city of Donetsk for 8 years.

I agree that they need to retreat to their 2013 borders meaning no Donbas, no Crimea, and take those atrillery batteries in Belarus and just over the border with them. Eventually that will happen. Russia will be on a murderous tear until it does.

By the time they get rid of Putin, they will have to rebuild their military completely. They will also be facing incursions on their southern border by former possessions who want some of their ancestral land back.

Mariuopol alone has been 80% destroyed. A quarter of the nation’s population has been internally displaced. We all know some of the rest of the horrors.

So what are these concessions of which they speak?
