If you've decided that Attorney General Garland is INTENTIONALLY refusing to investigate/prosecute Trump and his aides, you ALSO have to believe that President Biden isn't as aware of the situation as you are, or IS aware and supports his decision.

(25,816 posts)my patience grows thin about the investigation into Trump, et al. I'll bet that Pres. Biden is
growing impatient as well. It's almost April and the midterms are looming. Democrats need
some momentum, not some Hunter Biden ammo for the Republicans.
Are you satisfied with the heel-dragging by the DOJ? Even a press conference by Garland might
help. It seems there is ample evidence of crimes by Trump. What about the J-6 referral against
Meadows? The natives are restless.

(10,997 posts)I believe it was hidden, but the implication was definitely that Biden was behind it.

(25,816 posts)I don't believe that at all. The US will suffer if the obvious planners of J-6 are not brought to
justice. If Bush had been charged with war crimes, J-6 and possibly even the election of Trump
would probably have never happened.

Day 105 since the select committee sent the Mark Meadows criminal referral to DOJ, just for ignoring a subpoena. No way anything gets done now regarding Meadows until after the mid terms.
Day 77 since the Michigan AG sent the fake elector referral to DOJ. No way that anything gets done with this now, until after the mid terms.
Day whatever since the National Archives asked DOJ to find the missing classified documents.
In 3 months, Robert Mueller indicted or got guilty pleas from 34 people and 3 companies.
In the words of Nick Ackerman, Watergate prosecutor, DOJ needs to do what prosecutors did for Watergate, set up a grand jury which would expedite everything.

(10,140 posts)If the AG refuses to do anything it will probably be for fear of the political consequences.

(21,280 posts)By not holding Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress for ignoring a legal subpoena, Merrick Garland is taking away the oversight duties of the legislative branch of government. If Meadows want to claim some privilege, he can do so before the select committee.
Garland not ruling on Meadows is shameful and dangerous to our democracy.

(21,280 posts)has the right, has the duty, of oversight. When Merrick Garland refuses to hold Mark Meadows in contempt of Congress he is telling the select committee that they do not have that right, he is telling other people who the committee subpoenas, you can ignore their subpoena.
