Thank you, Senator Collins

Thomas got 52 votes in 1991 and I remember Quayle was on hand if needed.

We should welcome every senator who will vote YES on Judge Jackson. She deserves more than 52.

A least one from her home state of Florida would be nice.

Romney? White Utah supports an African American?

1. I will give Susan Collins credit for this vote, which pretty much cinches it for Judge Jackson

It is a disgrace that it might only be a 51 or 52 vote majority IMHO.

4. As Usual, Her Vote Is A Cover And Is Meaningless

Ms Jackson is going to be confirmed. Collins is in No Way a Swing Vote. Her decision to support will not have any bearing on the outcome.

If Manchin and/or Sinema were voting No, then Collins might matter. But Ms Jackson has 50 Yes's lined up, so it's a done deal.

9. Why be so negative? Why not hoping for a strong support for her?

Do you really wish for Judge Jackson to just squeak by? Like Thomas?

Having a strong bi partisan support will strengthen her stand for the years go come.

12. I Always Expected She Would Get 53-54 Votes

I wish there was strong bi-partisan support for her. I guess I don't consider Collins, Murkowski & Romney to be "strong support."

All that matters is she gets confirmed. Her votes on the bench will still be the same whether there is "strong support" or not.

I just don't like Collins. Most of the time when she votes with the Democrats, it's not a swing vote. Where was she when she could have made a difference by voting against Amy? Oh yeah, she was voting for the repub, because her vote made the difference.
