What can Zelensky do to save Mariupol?

He's obviously winning battles. One of the Ukraine reporters said that the USA is slow in providing weapons that were promised. Could that be the key? Could Putin lose so badly that he is made to again assess a compromise?

Just look at the map and you can see Mariupol is at the extreme eastern end of Ukraine very close to Russia. Any Ukrainian troops advancing east will be attacked in the flanks and surrounded. It’ll be like attacking into a cul de sac, with enemy on three sides of you.
