5. I've been hoping the reason we didn't give them the planes was that they were getting enough

other anti-aircraft weapons that would do the job. It also eliminates the possibility that US supplied aircraft could be used in attacks in Russian territory, or Putin lying about it and using that as an excuse to escalate.
