Must have been somewhere political or cause worthy, no doubt, as she began her focus on improving humanitarian issues via politics before age 20 at Wellsley.
Not sure if she was yet 1st Lady in this photo.

to contact lenses yet. I recognize the heavy correction in her lenses from those days.
(Im the same age, and in my family my parents had all they could do to keep 3 of us in new glasses every year. I was 21 when my college roomies hounded me into switching I took money out of my savings. It made an incredible difference.)

(15,325 posts)Hillary Clinton at Wellesley College in the late 60s; Clinton in 1992 during Bill Clintons presidential campaign for the Democratic nomination; The First Lady in 1998 waiting for her husband outside of the White House; Clinton on her wedding day in 1975.
I'm guessing 1992, Bill's Pres campaign.
Looks like the same hairstyle.

(7,265 posts)she had it trimmed by several inches before I first saw her on tv during that campaign.

(4,996 posts)than in the 1992 picture. Also, I think the Clinton campaign very tightly tried to control her look and this leggy look was probably something they tried to prevent during that campaign. Mind you, I love it - but the press would have crucified her and Bill for what they would have called an insufficiently ladylike look.

(53,003 posts)She was around that age there, and I know she started wearing headbands to appease the nanny ninnies there. In must have been in her early years there, since she hadn't yet transitioned to first lady of AK attire.

(8,261 posts)I am going with College or very soon after. That is a Papa Ginos cup. It was a New England chain that started late 60s. There was one in Arlington Center, Medford Square, Woburn Mall, Burlington, Weymouth, Hyannis or Centreville on the cape. I played for a hockey team that Papa Ginos sponsored so we were there a lot after games. Worcester, Fall River
the list goes on. I dont think there were any on CT when she was at Yale Law, but there were some in RI.
She looks young in the picture. I am guessing this was when she was at Wellesley College and at whatever PApa Ginos near the college.

(15,501 posts)She's about my age and I think she would have worn something like this during her college years or shortly thereafter. So, sometime in the 1970's.

(8,261 posts)They had sit down dining and a salad bar. You could get pizza by the Slice or a whole pie. The added lasagna, pastas and other foods as they grew. There are still a few left but not as many as there were in the 70s and 80s.
Great photo.

(14,893 posts)from the similarity to the picture identified in this link. She was probably there to campaign for Bill in the primary, and it would also explain the Papa Gino's cup.
