While we're not on the subject, can we establish a safe protocol for repatriating

American travelers who get caught up at the start of a pandemic in another country?

First, we should stop US Senators from pulling strings to allow ships to dock.

Second, set steep penalties to deter them from trying to contact the State Department to find a way around the system.

Third, we should be sure that the travelers are met by CDC specialists, who are given proper PPE.

Fourth, a quarantine station should be established to give the medics a chance to clear people.

I really can't believe that we're going to let this opportunity slide by without establish a policy that a GOP member can't fuck up.
