“Federal prosecutors have substantially widened their Jan. 6 investigation to examine the possible culpability of a broad range of figures involved in former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election,” the New York Times reports.

“The investigation now encompasses the possible involvement of other government officials in Mr. Trump’s attempts to obstruct the certification of President Biden’s Electoral College victory and the push by some Trump allies to promote slates of fake electors”

CNN: January 6 committee member says panel is “triangulating” to get “fulsome picture” of Trump’s actions.

A judge has ordered that Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos be held in contempt for failing to produce emails and text messages related to the investigation he ordered into the 2020 presidential election.

Dane County Judge Valerie Bailey-Rihn

…. snip

….wrote Wednesday that Vos and the Assembly, “after hearing and notice, have chosen to willfully violate a court order and are held in contempt.”

I am kind of surprised this news came out, but perhaps someone at DoJ got annoyed at the insinuations that they aren't doing much more than prosecuting the Jan 6th rioters.

I keep seeing the term "Federal Prosecutors" in a number of different posts on the topic of Congressional J6 Committee investigations in reference to their findings or investigations, which implies DOJ operations.

Are the Committee members considered as the Federal Prosecutors?
