The political fall out from the fake electors could be severe.

The jan 6th committee is going to expose the fake electors during the open hearings. This could, should, hurt the Republicans in the midterm elections, especially in the states that created fake electors. I still can't believe they actually attempted something so stupid. How many corrupt Republicans are there in America?

Garland is also investigating the fake electors. Many people could be indicted. It's all one big conspiracy to stop and over turn the election. In many states the fake electors claimed they were the real electors, signed their names. That is a crime.

Hillary should consider changing her name to Cassandra.

Cassandra ... was a Trojan priestess of Apollo in Greek mythology cursed to utter true prophecies, but never to be believed.

Conspiracy implies secret, this is in the open. Republicans used to conspire, they realize now that there is no need. The entire party screams privilege. They do it in the open, behavior that would make them run around with their hair on fire if a Democrat did it doesn't even warrant a shrug. It's their right!

Yet Donald Trump - a carbon copy of Putin they want to be President again - polls at 35+% in the U.S.

That's some world class cognitive dissonance right there, people.

Or so I'm told.

The only leaks are things that might be damaging to Democrats; when they are investigating the other side, locked up tight.

I don't think they really thought the electors would be accepted. I think the plan was just to give Pence an excuse, no matter how pathetic and flimsy, for not counting those "contested" votes and throw it back to state legislators and/or Supreme Court. Then, it wouldn't matter how ridiculous the fake electors were; we'd be well outside normal procedures, and anything could happen.

It is all based on the Big Lie that our 2020 election was rigged. This notion has given the Republican controlled states the excuse to implement changes, BASED ON THE BIG LIE.

Google what is happening right now in Wisconsin, it wants to decertify the 2020 election.

So when some Magat in Pa. claims that there were irregularities in several blue districts and he cannot verify that Fetterman actually beat Dr. Oz, it will be game on all the way to the partisan Supreme Court who already abolished a black voting district that was approved by the Wisconsin SC.

What is related is that DOJ has not been protecting our voting rights.

everything is based on our elections being rigged. Those fake electors were created because of the rationale that president Biden didn't really win. It all started with Trump and then to the Cyber Ninjas and spread across the country. DOJ could have stopped the Cyber Ninjas. I am waiting on my absentee ballot in Pa. it is on hold because the Pa. GQP is trying to eliminate no excuse absentee voting. All of these anti-voter/election laws that the states have passed are all based on the Big Lie.

had DOJ done its job and stopped the Cyber Ninjas fraudit. Thank god a citizens group and a local news outlet is holding the Cyber Ninja's feet to the fire. These 2 groups have sued the Cyber Ninjas for documents and a judge has ruled that this bogus company must produce the documents, which isn't happening because the Ninjas are not a real company, the fraudit was done by Magats.

Fast forward to the sham that is going on in Wisconsin, another fraudit of the 2020 election, only this time the Magats are trying to decertify the 2020 election. Thank god another citizens group has carried the ball for DOJ and stepped in and sued this fraudit also for documents and a judge has ruled in their favor. The Wisconsin fiasco is just gaining steam, stay tuned and praise the Lord we are allowed to have citizens groups protecting our elections.

Hello Kristen Clarke. The whole point behind these fraudits is to promote the Big Lie that our elections were rigged, that changes are needed like replacing honest election officials with Magats.

Do your job DOJ, as a member of the select committee stated 2 days ago.

Fake electors going to court isn't one of them. I daresay 75% of Democrats can't define "elector" or understand what a fake elector was supposed to be or do.

because people can't see that our democracy is on the brink. DOJ has waited so long that nothing of consequence will happen until after the midterms.

GOTV folks. I'm still waiting for my absentee ballot which the GQP has held up in the courts.

question.

How about an easier one? "How many honest republicans are there in America?"

I can name two Adam Kinzinger (he should not belong to the republican party), and maybe Liz Chaney.

I challenge everyone else to come up with more names. By the way, "corrupt" also includes dishonest, opportunistic.

It now appears CBS News may be leaning right and heading down FOX alley in an attempt to curry favor with the presumed 2022 dominant electorate.

So how are those revelations about the false electors going to reduce the effects of RW propaganda? Is that the reason we still have FOX, OAN, and Newsmax continually spouting lies about the election 24/7 15 months after it was called?

We who deal in facts, evidence, and law will know and take notice of this plot among many Republican electoral crimes. But what about the presumed 70-odd % of GOP voters who insist the 2020 election was crooked and that Joe Biden is not legally the President of the United States? They are people I live next to, shop along with, and will likely have to listen to come the run up to the election this fall.
