from various cases.
Fuck that shit! He needs to resign from the Court!

(15,454 posts)House start impeachment? Maybe but highly unlikely.

(42,643 posts)He MIGHT recuse in an extreme case, but I doubt it. He is a massively flawed, fucked up human and a traitor, as is his piece of dogshit wife.

(33,188 posts)let alone impeach.

(42,643 posts)The longwave constitutional flaws and ticking time bombs in the US system are going to come more and more to the fore as the Republicans trod further down into the chasm of fascist depravity.
I truly fear there may well be no 'cavalry to the rescue' of both sufficient sustained impact and duration necessary to prevent the eventual rending asunder of the union of the states.
Death cults never end well.

(37,128 posts)...and the other has the remote (like, orbital distance) chance of "you're making us look bad/ you're handing them an excuse to add more seats" pressure from fellow conservatives might get him to do it.

(11,748 posts)See, IMHO, this is where Democrats fail every time. We decide that are not going to do this or that, recuse... resign, so why bother?
Republicans NEVER let go of the bone. Especially when they know it will be next to impossible to achieve the objective.
Christ... look at abortion...when Roe was passed we all thought... okay this will end. Settled law is a concrete guarantee.
They NEVER gave up. They never stopped coming for our rights. They took a 40 year project to remake the court, and now they have the "precious" right in the palm of their hands.
So NOW is the time for us to scream as loud as we can, pound tables, and pavement, and DEMAND that Thomas retire and when he does not, when they take this to the wall...we pivot to expanding the court.
Just MHO. Throwing up our hands and saying, it's not going to happen so why waste our time, is NOT an option.

(12,207 posts)As the Virgina Thomas insurrection of US Capitol 1/6/21 continues to unfold.....he will not be able to stay on the Bench....I think by August, he will be gone...
This Ginni Thomas thing is going to open the door for other GOP Justices to be under the magnifying glass...I think this is a way to " pick off the scab" kind of exposure.
