One of the subpoenas sought information about people "classified as VIP attendees" at the rally, according to The New York Times. At least one person involved in the logistics of the Ellipse rally has also been asked to appear before the grand jury.
The subpoena also sought information about Trump supporters' fake elector scheme, where Trump allies put forward so-called alternate slates of electors that would have cast Electoral College votes for Trump in states won by President Joe Biden, according to the Times. ....................(more)

The fire was likely the SCOTUS ruling that resulted in thousands of Trump documents being released

SCOTUS ruled two months ago, and thats when the DOJ convened the grand jury(ies), according to WaPo and NYT.
The first reporting confirming the existence of the GJs was yesterday.

(146,254 posts)5. I don't think so. Those subpoenas are for a grand jury, so
a lot of investigation was done before it went that far. Based on the rest of their progress, this sounds just about right on time.
Digging up evidence that can be used in a trial takes considerable time, and there are tons of perps involved with all of this. Patience with the DOJ is needed. They're on it.
