If this is true, it is very, very bad.

(9,435 posts)That says Putin is acting like a cornered rat and may unbalanced enoufh to do something with his nukes, then maybe escalating isn't the best idea.

(16,046 posts)When does escalation become unavoidable???
Putin and his cronies have already threatened to use nukes...should they feel it's necessary!
I think the escalation has already begun...whether we want it or not!

(8,232 posts)This is an opinion article so take with a grain of salt. The article also outlines other practical logistical issues going into slowing the transfer.

You know, Bad Joe Biden for opposing Putin, and for not doing enough against Putin.

(9,424 posts)Slow internet here so most tweets do not preview.
So I relucantly went to twitter, which led to the WAPO article (this is too often the case)
Slovakia has offered S-300s, which are desperately needed in Ukraine. But all theyve asked from us is to backfill, House Armed Services Committee ranking Republican Mike D. Rogers (Ala.) said at a hearing Wednesday morning with top Pentagon officials. Why is it taking two weeks?
Naturally, a reptilian is going to bag the administration for both attacking "genius" Putin, and also not attacking fast enough.
This *is* a generalization. I don't follow Rogers, but this "double standard" shows up a lot in this matter and many others.
Quite a few people seem to have problems with twitter previews, so I do suggest that if the tweet links to a website, the website URL be given instead or in addition.
And I think the article definitely explains other legitimate logistical issues regarding this, so it is far from just a "WH afraid of escalation" situation.

I also share your use of the term "Reptilian" to describe the American fascist party.
I am very pro-missile in this case, however. I think Ukraine could use these to very good effect. Every Russian artillery site, airbase, or ship that Ukraine takes out, is one we will never have to face in battle.

Many sites count your visits with cookies "You have one free article remaining" and let Google index them, to lure visitors and then demand money.

(9,424 posts)I loaded too many extensions so CAPTCHAS don't work (my fault) and I lose my DU login cookie now and then (my fault).
Everything else seems OK.
I can't update Safari without updating the entire computer. repeatedly.
At least it isn't made by Google or Apple.
