Biden is to release 1 million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve over the next 6 months to help alleviate oil prices! Which I think is awesome, because every little bit helps!
However! I wonder how long it will for the criticism to come out of the gutters from GOPers? Just saying! They will find away, I bet you $1!

(19,201 posts)two months ago had no effect whatsoever on pump prices. The fossil fuel industry is going to continue to price gouge until they get another "drill baby, drill" republican back in the White House.
When is the right time to broach the campaign finance reform bill again? I'd love to see the country go against every previous election trend and elect a filibuster proof Senate, and increase our majority in the House.
We could actually get some positive things done to save this country and make it stronger.
You gotta' have a dream, right?

(21,765 posts)Oil companies think they are getting a two-fer by dramatically increasing profits while hurting their political enemies (incumbent Democrats, who will be blamed for fuel prices).
Meanwhile, I saw a professional energy investor on CNBC say he looks for oil prices to go much higher from here, with no end in sight to rising prices.
He didn't seem at all upset over it. In fact, he seemed quite pleased.
