by Nunes ) before Devin runs for a House or Senate seat?

(146,192 posts)truly is. Everything he has done since losing the election has failed to yield support. His rallies are poorly attended, his social media simply doesn't work, and he's shedding loyalists daily.
Trump is finished. He just doesn't know it, and some Republicans haven't recognized it yet. It's going to come as a harsh shock when they do.

(18,903 posts)Even deep red states would probably think twice about claiming Nunes as their own.

(18,903 posts)MadDogPac will put up billboards all over your state to let people know what a complete asshole he is.
They did that in California and it really started costing him a lot of votes, not to mention the embarrassment.
taxi
(1,895 posts)to answer the 'would anybody have him' question.
Okay, you have this asshole that nobody likes.
He doesn't care if you like him or not.
If you'll send him away
He will be an asshole bothering someone else
And fight to keep every corrupt thing you have
So yeah, I think someone would have him

(18,903 posts)I mean he is a dairy farmer, right? Maybe he'll run the dairy farm fulltime now. That'll be the day.

(1,895 posts)He must have thought himself clever hitching a ride in the manure wagon

(10,073 posts)Depends on where he runs. Senator from California - his chances are slim to none. Representative from his old district - maybe; he was re-elected several times despite being a known clown. Senator or Representative from a deep red state - IMHO his chances are better, and it may have the side benefit of getting him to primary another GQP candidate.

(53,475 posts)Deep red states already have their own deep red clowns, who haven't failed in running yet another failed trump venture.
Retrograde
(10,073 posts)There are large pockets of rabid right-wing voters in the rural parts of the state, where Devin's former district was. Once you get away from the coast - where most of the larger cities are - you could be in Idaho. That's how people like Nunes and McCarthy keep getting elected.
brush
(53,475 posts)He wasn't great as a rep. And he quit. Then failed trump.
If he's who they want representing them, let them go for it. But I'm sure he'll have to face the up-and-comers who won't just roll over for a has been.

(14,250 posts)He made his money through the spac. Almost all of the cash went to him, or one of his holding companies, and he has spent next to nothing building the platform.
It can go toes up and he wouldn't even feel it. He has the cash.

(64,425 posts)His lenders got most of it.
Remember that there is documentation the he has a $7.8 billion company with a D/E of at least 8.
The debt burden is massive.
getagrip_already
(14,250 posts)This was just a multi-billion dollar grft.
So what if he paid bills.
He doesn't and never did care about the company. If he did, he would have put more than a few thousand into it. With that kind of cash, he could have hired quality producers, reporters, and commentators.
He just wanted the money.
