Via: The AP:
The House on Thursday passed a bill capping the monthly cost of insulin at $35 for insured patients, part of an election-year push by Democrats for price curbs on prescription drugs at a time of rising inflation.
Experts say the legislation, which passed 232-193, would provide significant relief for privately insured patients with skimpier plans and for Medicare enrollees facing rising out-of-pocket costs for their insulin. Some could save hundreds of dollars annually, and all insured patients would get the benefit of predictable monthly costs for insulin. The bill would not help the uninsured.

(50,555 posts)This is a Democratic idea and there's a Democrat in the White House.
If a Democrat dropped a bill in the hopper declaring Ronald Reagan's birthday a national holiday, every Republican in Congress would vote against it. That's how they do things on that side of the aisle.

(81,220 posts)Pure and simple.
Republicans DON'T want to help you.
They don't want to help you. And they don't care that you need help and keep appealing for help. You're an annoyance and a bother and a waste of their time.
They think it should be the other way around.
They want YOU to help THEM (as in: send them your money).
Remember: They hate lazy moochers. But that's exactly what they are! They say you're always there with a handout, looking for a free ride. They're actually describing themselves, and rather accurately.
